Personality, Appearance, and Hobbies
you think that you're the sun. the whole world revolves around you
Personality

Everyone assumes that Natalia was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and her life has been incredibly easy. That might have been the case when she was younger, but it has not been so for a long time. Stress sanded away parts of her personality until now, they are hard to find anymore. Glimmers of what they used to be. Not many people notice that she is so much more subdued than she was when she was younger, but if they notice, they don't say anything.

Natalia is not particularly mean-spirited. She tends to be a little quiet, and can say things without thinking. On occasion, she can be downright rude in her criticisms, but she has always been the brunt of her mother's critiques, and she does not quite realize how negatively they are taken by others. She strives for perfection in herself and pushes others toward it.

Talia has a lot of social anxiety but she has been long since trained not to show it. She can become downright robotic in conversation if she is nervous, and it's a hard thing to break herself out of. She will be perfectly polite, always trying to say the right thing and be personable, but she's just not naturally talented at it.

Natalia's two biggest flaws are her negative relationship with food (she suffered from bulimia when she was younger, and though she has not relapsed, she has never been completely healthy) and her fear of abandonment. She strives to hide her problems and flaws because she fears if someone knows about them, they will leave her. This was reinforced by her parents sending her to private school after her bulimia was revealed. Though she clearly needed help, and she knows it, she feels as if they were ashamed of her and that was why they sent her away.

However, despite her problems, Talia is not a mean girl. Often, she is quite successful in projecting the idea that she is perfectly happy and healthy. And now, at age 22, she is as happy as she has ever been, but her past haunts her. She especially hides it from Charles, the boy she's been promised to since she was very young. She feels that she does not deserve him and is downright terrified that if he knew the truth, he would abandon her too. And she's not sure what she would do if she lost him.

Appearance

Natalia is a natural blonde, though it tends to get a little darker around the roots during the winter, and bleaches when she's out in the sun in the summer. It has varying lengths throughout her life but it is currently on the long side. She has fair skin, and vivid green eyes. She tends to get a smattering of freckles, whether she likes it or not, and no matter how much sunscreen she applies. She is a pretty girl but her looks can be considered childish, even if she's 22 years old, plenty old to have lost the last of her baby weight. She never grew past 5'2, and she has always been incredibly small, weight included. She has formerly had problems with an eating disorder, a well kept family secret, but she has not relapsed in years. However, that is not to say her relationship has done a complete 180. She is still well under the suggested weight for girls her age and height.

Talia dresses incredibly formally, even when she doesn't need to. She comes from a wealthy, upper class family, and the way she dresses has always reflected her means in life. She dresses quite modestly, has an affinity for lace and bows, and doesn't show much interest in fashion. Her mother has bought most of her clothes for her, and usually her only sense of style is brought out in the accessories.

Hobbies

Talia has varied interests, but the most obvious one is music. She is an accomplished violinist but she is also quite talented at the piano. She has always had a gift for playing, one that she uses to great success. She enjoys listening to and attempting to play many different kinds of instruments.

She has other scattered hobbies. She enjoys sailing, because it is relaxing. She likes to go horseback riding, and was even on the Equestrian team at her private school. She loves to be out in nature, enjoying the sights and sounds.

A strange talent is one she has learned over the years of watching and working with her father. Though she is not particularly business minded, she's quite capable at fixing, repairing, and building things. Surprisingly so. She's seen the inside and the outside of most of the construction jobs her father has worked on, and it has given her an inside knowledge of the craft.

History.
you wanna test the waters. you left me on this empty shore
Natalia Holbrook was brought into the world quietly the day after a raving New Years Eve party thrown by her parents. Her mother has stated many a time that pregnancy was the worst time of her life, and her mother has kept true to her word and never had children again. Some say that she had her tubes tied to make sure, but the fact is her parents had stopped being intimate far before Natalia had been born. Natalia was a quiet baby, beloved by her father and tolerated by her mother. She lived a fairly happy life in the Upper East Side of New York.

Dalton Westbrook, current CEO of a family business called Westbrook Construction, was the third generation in said business. It had always been profitable, and Natalia was considered Old Money by her friends at private school. Her mother was a fashion designer, with little acclaim but plenty of arrogance. Her mothers true occupation was gossiping and attending parties, and both of these she did with her daughter at her side.

The Westbrook and Anderton alliance was struck long before Natalia's generation, but evidence of it was clear, even from when she was very small. The Anderton boys were always around. They were invited to the same parties, they often came to the townhouse for dinner or vice versa, they would summer in the Hamptons together. Natalia began to understand at a very young age that certain things were expected of her, as the daughter of a powerful, rich man. She was in second grade when it dawned on her that her mother would always seat her next to Charles, or ask her to hold his hand, or ask them to lean close to each other for a picture. Even at such a young age, she was aware there was a reason for it, as one day her mother let it slip.

One day, you and Charles will be married. It's meant to be.

Such a young girl really does not understand the impact or the meaning of getting married. As Natalia grew, she started to understand it more. There was never a point where she resisted the idea. She had grown up with Charles, and their parents had always pushed them together. She liked him, he was incredibly sweet and he'd always been nice to her. She wonders sometimes if he realizes what she's known for so long. She has never introduced him as her 'boyfriend'. But she knows that one day they will be together.

Because of this knowledge, Natalia never strayed far into the dating pool. It would only make things difficult, she decided. Besides, Charlie was already perfect. She could hardly find someone better than him. Nat was not exactly the height of popularity at the expensive private schools she attended, but she got along with her classmates fairly well. While other girls sat and day-dreamed about boys they saw in magazines, Natalia thought of what it might be like to be married to Charles. Even as she watched him grow up, it never seemed to click perfectly when they were both young.

Natalia got good grades, and was for all intents and purposes a good girl. Her mother pushed her hard, keeping her impeccably groomed and constantly criticizing her weight. Natalia had always struggled with the motivation to eat, and her mother only made it harder. She struggled with bulimia for about a year before her father caught on. She was sent away to 'private school' in order to fix her 'problem'. It was the first time she had ever been away from her parents and her extended family, the Anderton's. From age 15-18, she only saw her parents on holidays. It was a strange, isolated world, and she did not thrive in it. Her graduation was a godsend, because it meant she could return to society as normal. She found, however, that at eighteen, society was much more difficult than it had been at fourteen, when she could sit in a corner with Charles and pretend the rest of the room was not there. Now she was expected to pay attention, always know who she was speaking to, and exactly what to say to them, and most importantly, precisely how to say it.

However, when placed in Julliard, Natalia thrived. She had always been extremely talented with music. Violin was her forte, piano second. She had always found it easy to sink into the music and escape with it. It was much easier to be at a party if someone would just ask her to play something, because she could communicate so much better with an instrument under her fingertips. She graduated a year early, and at the top of her class. Though she has little need to work, she does so as a concert violinist. She does small shows around the country, and though the spotlight can be troubling for her nerves, she loves it.

Their are only two parts of her life that are currently not as she would like them. Firstly is her responsibility with her father's company. She knows that she is expected to have some fun with her music and then return to the fold and learn exactly how to run the company. She is to be the fourth generation and she needs to uphold their legacy. She is terrified of disappointing her father but the fact is she doesn't have much of a mind for business. She's not sure that she can do it.

Secondly, her 'relationship' with Charles. She feels as if she can see it now, that he is someone she wants to marry. He is the same that he has always been, sweet, genuine and unaffected. But she does not feel like she has gone through the years unchanged. She knows that when her parents saw her flaws, they sent her away for three years. If Charlie knew, what were the chances of him still believing her capable of marriage? She desperately hides her flaws from him, unaware she is pushing him away. They are in an 'open' relationship, but Natalia is not sure she wants to see anyone else.

Gretel from Hansel and Gretel.
i would wait a lifetime for you.
A long time ago, there lived a family of four. A father, his new wife, and his children from his first marriage: Hansel, his son, and his daughter, Gretel. Times were hard and food was scarce, and his new wife was a cold woman. She demanded he lead his children deep out into the woods, and abandon them. Hearing their plan, Hansel collected small white pebbles and kept them in his pocket. When they were led away from the house, he dropped a trail of pebbles to follow later. After their parents abandoned them, he and his sister followed the trail back. Their father was delighted, but their stepmother was angry her plan did not work, though she tried to hide it.

When food became even more scarce, she convinced her husband to try her plot again. This time, however, the door was locked, so Hansel could not go outside to collect those shiny white pebbles to lead them home. Instead, he crumbled their only serving of bread to make a trail of crumbs to follow. Unfortunately, they were lead so far away from home, the birds of the forest had begun to eat the trail of crumbs, and the children were lost in the woods.

They roamed together for a time, only able to eat some berries they found in the forest, when they happened upon a house made of candy, cake, and all sweet things a child loves. Hansel broke off a piece of the roof, and Gretel nibbled on a pure sugar window pane. The witch who lived in the house heard them and invited them inside. For a time, they lived happily with her, sleeping in her beautiful home and having not a care in the world.

However, it was not to last. The witch trapped Hansel in a cage, and made Gretel cook fine food for him, telling both that she would eat him when he was fat. The children were petrified. Hansel was forced to eat more than he could stand and Gretel got hardly any food at all. However, the children were clever. The witch had bad eyes, and when she came to check how much Hansel had grown, he would offer a bone, fooling her into thinking he was not fattening up at all. Eventually, the witch grew tired of waiting, and decided she would eat him anyway.

She brought Gretel to the house, instructing her to lean deep into the oven to check if it was hot enough, intending to push her in and eat her too. Gretel, however, feigned confusion, and asked the old witch to show her how. The witch did so, and Gretel pushed her in, locking the door shut behind her. She freed her brother, and they both collected pearls and precious gems from her house, before they ran through their woods. They managed to find their father, and their step mother had since passed away. The small family lived happily and comfortably for the rest of their lives.

Talia has some similarities to her past. She has grown up with a bad relationship with food, eating far less than she should, because of pressures from her mother. She is clever and is quite good at feigning stupidity, though she is far from that. Natalia greatly fears abandonment, after it happened to her not once but twice in the story. Lastly, she tends to rely heavily on others, even if she has the capacity to take care of herself. She is often just not brave enough to try.

Natalia has not really had any sort of visions or dreams about her past, not yet. The closest she has come was a dream about a moonlit path, the light catching on a few small, white stones...

FULL NAME: Jennifer Dahlia Crane
NICKNAMES: Jen, Dolly, Dahl, Puss (her father called her that and she despises it now)
DATE OF BIRTH: 2/5/1991
CURRENT AGE: 20
ASTROLOGY SIGN: Aquarius
MARITAL STATUS: Engaged, Run-away Bride
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
OCCUPATION: Waitress. Musician. Artist.
PLAYED BY:: Natalie Dormer
APPEARANCE

Dahlia is not unattractive, as she often fears, but her appearance is quite unusual and striking. She shares the bright, icy blue eyes of her sister, and they seem to see far more than they should. She has a pale complexion and she has steadfastly taken care of it to avoid blemishes, scars, or even freckles. She has long hair which many would be surprised to learn she dyes dark, as she has since she was 14 to better resemble her sister.

If Dahlia gets to chose what she is wearing, she has a very refined, ecclectic style. Looking at her, nobody would guess that she is so young. She dresses as if she were in her late twenties, early thirties -- and some of her dresses are very old fashioned in appearance, from 50's flairs to even medieval touches. She enjoys floral prints to velvet, and she wears a particularly gothic style that not many would favor. She wears colors ranging from black to navy and dark purple and uses color usually in accent pieces or jewelry. However, she can be seen in uniform and work clothes when she must. Even wearing a plain white shirt and black skirt of a waitress, her personal style is evident through her accessories and styling.

Dahlia is the younger and slightly smaller sister. She's 5'3 and has always felt insecure that she is not as tall as her sister. While her sister is more curvaceous, Dahlia is quite slim, bearing very little hips and in her opinion, a lack-luster chest, which she hides with pushups and corsets.

Lastly, Dahlia keeps her makeup simple, usually. White or neutral eyeshadow with a liquid liner and usually a neutral lip, unless she's making a statement with red. Her hair is usually where she expresses more interest, and she's quite competent in dressing it beautifully. She used to practice on the long black hair of her sister, and it just took a little adjusting to translate it to her own locks.

PERSONALITY

Outwardly, people assume that Dahlia is anti-social, and mostly by appearances. This is most certainly not the case. She is very warm and sociable, the picture of the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover". She is friendly and tends to be very outgoing. She makes friends easily and is a warm person. She is the sort of girl that people are intrigued by, and she intentionally carries some air of mystery. She knows how quickly people respond to it, and uses it to her advantage. She can carry a conversation with ease, but when she walks away the person she was speaking to slowly comes to realize they didn't learn a thing about her.

However, even though she gets along with others well, she does not find that she makes connections easily. Due to her past she tends to be guarded and secretive. In the end, even if she likes a person, she finds herself unable to trust them. However, despite that, when she trusts she trusts whole-heartedly. Sometimes to her own detriment.

She tends to be insecure. She was raised very close to her sister, and grew up admiring the qualities in Evelyn that she did not have. Evelyn had a dark, mysterious beauty. Jennifer was a blue-eyed, blonde-haired sprite. Evelyn was thoughtful and deep, Jennifer was flakey and a little self-centered. Jennifer dyed her hair black to match her sister at age 14 and has been coloring it ever since. While Jennifer had earned the favoritism of her mother, she always felt as if she needed to compete with her sister. And it was not often that she saw herself on top.

Evelyn was older, more natural, and did everything first. Every class, all the teachers could say was "What a lovely student your sister was", making Jennifer feel more and more insignificant. Beyond that, her father's critical eye to what his daughters wore -- no skirts above the knee, keep your shirts buttoned to the neck, no makeup or much ornamentation to speak of -- also slowly despaired on her self worth. When he was angry, he didn't hold back, and the kind of words he used to describe his daughters were harsh and left an impact.

Jennifer was always trying to compete with her sister. Evelyn brought home practically spotless grades, and Jennifer tried her best to hit a 4.0, but in the end she was right around 3.5, one point lower than Evelyn. Evelyn was a quick hand at the piano, but she didn't commit to it, since it was something required of her. Jennifer didn't have her natural talent for it, but she worked extremely hard and in some respects, felt she surpassed her sister in playing. However, in the back of her mind, she fears that if Evelyn tried, she could and would have been better. Her sister was on the Volleyball team, and Jennifer excelled in the team sport, with her competitive nature. She was on the team with her sister for a year.

But there were always things that Jennifer couldn't begin to compete with. She didn't have that naturally beautiful frame that her sister had. Evelyn had a beautiful, clear, strong voice -- Jennifer could carry a tune, but her voice was weak and light. Not meant for singing. Lastly, Evelyn had a quiet strength, and Jennifer knew that despite her stubborn nature, deep down she was not that strong.

It would have been easy for her feelings of inadequacy to foster resentment towards her sister. Sometimes Jennifer wished her sister would do something that would make her feelings of inadequacy less terrible. But her sister has always been warm and loving. Jennifer knows that Evelyn would do anything for her. Evelyn managed to protect her from the worst of her father's violent rages, and when she couldn't, she was always there to brush away the tears. Despite Jennifer's clear attempts to surpass her sister, Evelyn was always complimentary and proud of her sister. When they fought they fought intensely, but those fights were rare and far between. Jennifer loves her sister intensely, even if she feels she will never live up to be as good. She will do anything for her and will jump to her defense automatically.

Her father's abuse and her mother's acceptance of it has left some scars on their daughter. While she tries to hide it, she is very wary of most men. But even still, when she attaches herself to one, she loves intensely. She can be needy and clingy, and attach meaning to things that don't deserve it. And even worse, in a relationship that is harmful or abusive, she falls into a repeating pattern that she deserves it, or that it would be weak to run when the going gets tough.
PERSONAL HISTORY

Jennifer Dahlia Crane was brought into the world a bright haired, blue eyed darling. Even if they shared the same eyes, she seemed so different from her sister, and everyone often commented on it. Jennifer was a mommy's girl from the start, and her mother doted on her. She would buy Jennifer clothes on a whim, not realizing what it said to her older daughter when she lavished one and forgot the other. She pressed her harder, reminding her how well Evelyn had done at certain tasks, unknowingly pitting her daughter against her sister. Jennifer was hesitant to ever question her mother, even in that she refused to leave their father when the going got rough.

Jen desperately wanted to be close to her father. Despite his problems, when he was well things were wonderful. Even knowing the bad, she desperately tried to grab the few moments of good that were available to her. Slowly, those times of happiness became shorter and shorter as her father stopped trying to fight his alcoholism. Often times Jen would put herself in harm's way trying to force him back into rehab. The violence scared her, but she was desperate to get the father she knew still existed back. She was naive and disillusioned, things she would shake later on in life.

Her bright, honey-blonde hair was dyed black a few days after her 14th birthday. Jen felt that she had always been meant to have dark hair. Seeing herself next to her sister, it felt like it was right. Both of her parents were appalled, her father even threatening in a drunken rage to shave her hair off of her head, but in the end there was nothing they could do. She liked it dark, and even if the motivation had been to match her sister, she came into the hair color. It felt more like herself than the blonde ever had.

Jennifer's accomplishments were remarkable to some, but were often overshadowed by a sister that had done them all before. It was not good enough to match Evelyn -- Jennifer desperately wanted to be better. Anything Evelyn tried, Jennifer tried too. It was not often that Jennifer found something that she could surpass her sister in. The one thing she seemed to be best at, painting, Evelyn had never tried. It frustrated Jennifer that everyone remembered her by her sister, and not through her own merit. She maintained good grades, had multiple friends, graduated captain of the volleyball team. Even as her homelife grew more and more mired, her life was good.

She was 16 when Evelyn left for school. Jennifer wished that they could have gone together, and those two years without her sister by her side, she felt aimless. Without a guide to know how hard she had to work, she fumbled. She graduated near the top of her class and had a great chance to get into a good school. She wanted to go away like her sister, experience life away from her parents and away from the struggles at home. It was shortly after graduation when she came home to see her mother with a dark bruised eye, and at her mothers tears that she didn't want her baby to leave, Jennifer fumbled.

She put off college for a year. Then two years. Then another. She worked in the meantime, trying many part time jobs to see what kind of work she excelled at. It turned out she didn't love any particular job, but could hold them just the same. She would change her clothes and appearance once out of the house, knowing full well her father would object to the way she dressed. It was not immodest but it was different, and that seemed to be a thing he detested.

Jennifer found that men were an easy way to get the confidence she desired. It was easy to get them interested. Even without her sister's voluptuous shape, her looks were unique and she found she was good at flirting. She was a terrible tease, but she couldn't help the feeling of confidence when a guy liked her. She would even go after guys that were clearly taken, just for the thrill that she could. Where she had never partied in school, she found herself falling in with a new crowd. She had never touched alcohol before she turned 18, but now she would sample whatever a boy gave her at a party. She knew too well how bad alcohol could be, so she would never have more than a couple drinks at a time.

It was in this crowd she met Adam. He was dark, he was dangerous, and he was misunderstood. But he loved her and he loved her so intensely. She was caught up in the sensation of someone who thought she was beautiful and perfect, and she held onto him with both arms. He was her first and so far only -- despite her flirting she had never gone all the way. Their relationship was painfully similar to her parents, even if she ignored it. When things were good they were so wonderful. He would write poetry about her, he would kiss her eyelids and whisper to her how beautiful she was, he would make constellations on his back with his fingertips and sometimes she'd wake up to find he'd literally drawn them there. They were passionate and affectionate. They could go months at a time completely in love.

But when he drank, he changed into someone else. He yelled, he insulted. The praises she had become used to turned to venomous, hateful rants. He didn't mean to say it, she would tell herself. He didn't mean to hurt me, she insisted. Her father would have lost it if he had thought she had moved in with a boy without marrying him, but he was to the point he didn't much realize whether she was there or not. He became jealous and angry, trying to control who she spoke to and when. She kept making excuse after excuse, and though at time she thought of leaving, Adam seemed to know exactly how to make her stay. When she couldn't handle one more night of his drinking, he would suddenly say he was giving it up. When she was about to move out, he begged her not to, telling her he would change. The last time, he told her he couldn't live if she left. He had proposed in the next breath, and even with her reluctance in the back of her mind, she said yes.

She nervously anticipated the relapse. She told herself she'd just go through the motions, and the second he broke she would be gone. But as she tasted the cake, and tried on dresses, she was starting to wonder if he really had changed. In fact, waiting for the break was almost worse. She remembered how many times her father had fallen off the wagon in his lifetime. She knew she couldn't live her entire life like her mother, she just wasn't that strong. She couldn't live in fear that he would one day go back to what he'd been. Knowing the break could happen was too hard. She didn't want to see him return to what he'd been.

She pawned her engagement ring and it got her just enough money to get to Vegas, where her sister was now living. Evelyn was surprised to see her sister, to say the least. But she took her in, and did not press her about what this meant about the wedding. Jennifer had shown up with very little money to her name, all of her clothes in the back of her car, and no word to her parents. Or her fiance. She wants to make a new life for herself in Vegas, and why not? She's young, she's capable. She wants to pursue college classes, she wants to make something of herself. And she knows she has an ally in the sister who has been her strength for most of her life.

Now, she goes by Dahlia. She is enjoying her new freedom. She misses her mother but she knows that one day her mother needs to learn to walk away, just as she did. And, she misses Adam... But she never wants to see him again.

The Wife from

The Gingerbread Man.

Sometimes, the last thing you want comes in first. Sometimes, the first thing you want never comes;
------------------------------------------------------------
An elderly, childless couple have grown old together. The wife makes them a Gingerbread Boy, because they could never have a real one. By some trick of fate, it comes to life. After taunting them, it runs away, even as they chase it, begging it to come back. In the end, they never catch up, and he's eaten by a crafty fox.

Claudia shares many traits with her past life. She loves children, but can't have one of her own. She feels guilty that her desire for children ruined her marriage. She tries to cover up her guilt with other things -- much like she once covered up the pain of not being able to have a real child with the baking of a gingerbread one. She also shares a love of baking with her past self.

Ever since her divorce, Claudia has been having strange dreams. Dreams about an empty nursery, absolutely pristine but never used. The smell of gingerbread. A feeling of loneliness and emptiness that lingers long after she's woken up. She doesn't know what it means, but relates it to her current life situation.
APPEARANCE
I keep your photograph. It's always served me well...

Claudia has always been a pretty girl. She's not gorgeous but she has a nice face with delicate features. She has dark red-brown hair, and she usually keeps it short. It's naturally curly when she doesn't style it. Claudia has blue eyes and a light complexion. She has a mass of freckles on her nose, and they tend to get darker in the summer. She hates them, and is sensitive whenever people remark about them.

Claudia prefers to dress casually, but lately life has required her to wear business apparel. Including heels and pencil skirts. It's not really her taste but it's what is expected of her, and she doesn't mind. She'll just dress down on her own time.

She's not the tallest at 5'5, and she's also pretty slim, despite her love of sweets. She keeps herself fit, and has maintained a fit body through exercise, in attempts to make herself as healthy (and fertile) as possible. She isn't fond of conventional treadmill time -- she prefers fun exercise classes and dance.

PERSONALITY & DEMEANOR
I'm broken and I'm lonesome. I don't feel right when you go away.

Claudia is a very sweet person, much like the treats she loves to make. She is very endearing and she is very easy to get along with. She is great at maintaining conversation and even if she doesn't care for someone, you'd never know by the way she treated them. She is definitely a people person and she adores children.

She tends to focus on the needs of others above the needs of herself, to the point of self-destruction. She could work herself into the ground trying to help someone else, because it's easier to focus on the problems of others than it is to focus on herself. In fact, she's very evasive of her own problems and in most cases, won't acknowledge she has them. When her problems hit her, they hit her hard, as it's the combination of many things weighing down on her at once.

However, she is a sweet, sometimes silly girl. She tries to lighten the mood when she can, usually with bad jokes and puns. She can be a little socially awkward, but it is obvious she is not mean-spirited, just a little unaware. She can often be perceived as mothering to others, despite her young age. She has always been a mother hen, and always is the first to remind someone to take care of themselves. In fact, she hates to see people who don't take care of themselves. It's very frustrating to her.

Claudia's biggest fear is that she'll end up alone. Sometimes she can be clingy and desperate when that fear manifests itself. Usually only people very close to her see that aspect. She also desperately wants to be a mother, and recently learned that she can never have children. It was always her dream to be a mother, and she's not sure what to do with herself now that she knows it will never come true. She distracts her time with other things, in attempts to fill the void in her life. This results in her taking a lot of classes, trying a lot of new things, in attempts to distract herself from her loneliness.
PERSONAL HISTORY
So much left to learn, and no fights left to fight

Claudia was born to a fairly wealthy family in Connecticut. Her life was easy and idealistic. She went through the spring of her life without much consequence. She went to a private all-girls school until highschool. She spent summers at home, working at a local bakery and wasting time with her friends.

Her parents had always had plans for her. She was the oldest of two girls, and it was expected she would return to the family business once she graduated. And for a long time, Claudia didn't protest that. She worked hard at school, got the grades she needed, and by all appearances, she could have been Ivy bound.

However, instead, she broke away from her parents expectations to follow her great love. Instilled during those summers working at the bakery, and her lifelong adoration for baking, Claudia put herself through Pastry School. Her parents got over their disappointment and in the end, paid for most of her education. She worked hard and enjoyed doing what she loved. She was talented with pastry but it was quite notable that her style was more relaxed than most in her field. She was more compelled by taste than artistry, and flavor than technique.

While she was there, she met lots of friends that she would keep for the rest of her life. One in particular, [info]efrey. They were great friends through school. Where he excelled, she faltered, and vice versa. They were able to help each other when they needed it. They both shared a dream of one day owning their own Bakery, and often would bounce ideas of each other. Not all of them were good, but it was nice to have someone to talk to.

After graduation, Claudia focused on getting a job in the industry. She was never good with high-stress situations, so in the end she found a job working for a catering company. From showpieces to cupcakes, she got to do everything, and she loved her job. It was also the first time she'd ever lived on her own, and it was both exhilarating and terrifying.

Around the time [info]efrey returned from Europe, they met up for drinks. What had been strictly friendly in school became something deeper. She was fascinated by all the things he'd learned in Europe and he was happy to show her some of his new techniques. They both began to realize the possibility of owning their own bakery was becoming more and more possible. Around the time they decided to do it together, they started dating.

They married when Claudia was 25. At first, their marriage was wonderful. They were very alike but they always found ways to surprise each other. Sweet little things kept their romance alive. But as time passed, things slowly began to change. His job began to wear on him, and despite knowing the world of pastry, Claudia really couldn't understand the pressures he was under. She tried to support him, but it seemed like she could never reassure him when it came to work. She earned substantially less but it never occurred to her that if she worked a little harder, maybe he wouldn't have to work so hard.

The second year into their marriage, Claudia started to think of a future beyond a bakery. Instead of dreaming of a bakery to call her own, she dreamed of a baby. She had always wanted to be a mother, and as her marriage grew older, she wanted to start a family. However, he wasn't ready yet. It caused a rift between them, and suddenly things that didn't bother her drove her crazy. She accused him of never being home, that he cared more about his job than he cared about her. She would ignore him, and some days she wouldn't even talk to him. She started to feel alone, even with her husband sitting next to her. Her dream of having a family started to fade before she could stop herself.

Shortly into their third year, things came to a breaking point. She told him it was the job or her. They seperated not long after.

Claudia returned home to nurse her wounds. Her family accepted her with open arms. Until the divorce finalized, Claudia stayed at home and regretted how her life had turned out. When the papers were signed, she put her life of pastry behind her, and stepped into the role her parents had left open for her. She got a degree in business online as she worked full time. It wasn't a fun job, but she was good at it. It was hard for her to abandon pastry, as it had been her love for a long time. But in the end, it brought back memories she didn't want to relive.

Two years after their divorce, Claudia decided she didn't want to wait and find another man before she had a baby. She was looking into the possibility of a sperm bank when she was told, point blank, that she would never be able to carry a baby to term. It was heartbreaking. It was the one thing she'd always wanted to be -- a mother -- and she would never be able to have children of her own.

Claudia has only recently moved back to the city. It was just easier than flying in and out for business. She hates that she's living alone but she'd never tell anyone that. She earns three times what she did working at the catering company working for her parents, and it isn't hard for her to take care of herself. But she's lonely. She spends a lot of time volunteering; at foster homes, orphanages, schools, anywhere there are children she can help, she's there. In the meantime, she's trying to distract herself from the fact she's alone. She spends a lot of time going out, trying new things, and meeting new people.

Player Information

My name is Katy and I'm currently 21. I've been writing since I was really young and actively roleplaying on-and-off for about 8 years. I'm pretty active, and I'm a part time student. I am currently in the Central Time Zone, and I'm usually on in the afternoon into the late night.

I prefer to play females, but I do play males sometimes. I play het and femme relationships but I don't really do slash unless it's canon. If I have a choice, I would rather play a fandom character than an original one.

When it comes to roleplay, I prefer to do 3rd person threads. I can do them over AIM but I prefer a thread. I have some experience with 1st person journals but I generally only do those for RPGs. I am what one might call long-winded and tend to write 2-3000 character replies. Brevity is not my strong suit!

I am game for smut, drama, abuse, death, self-harm, sickness, etc, if it makes sense for the character or the line. I will do NC-17, but I much prefer to play the female. I am capable of playing the male but it can often take longer.

If you want to contact me, you can grab me at my email, kscarlettramey@gmail.com. My AIM is go play zelda, though I am often appearing offline. Most of my current characters have dropboxes and you can comment there to discuss anything.

Last but not least, I always understand if something changes, you're not feeling a line, or you want to move on to something else. Even if there's something in a post I made, all you have to do is ask and I will change it. I want to have fun and if you aren't enjoying yourself too, it isn't quite the same.

...harmony welcome post cause I have too many characters to write it out each time.

Hi! I'm Katy, the head mod. It's really nice to meet you!

Also, if you have any questions or confusion, just let me know. I am really happy to help! As in insanely happy.

Okay, you're going to get a massive tl;dr comment because I have a crazy troupe of characters. I'll try to go short. I'll try to throw in possible connections if I can think of them!

First, I have Princess Zelda ([info]lightofnayru) from Legend of Zelda fame. She's seventeen, mostly very nice, but with a side of bossy, opinionated, and judgmental. She hates it when people are mean to each other and she has a total martyr complex, and she is deathly afraid of rats and bugs. She is currently dating William Birkin.

Next is Mokuba Kaiba ([info]thebetterkaiba) from Yugioh!. He's living with his brother, currently seventeen. He's pretty nice, but kind of a nerd.

Next is Anzu Masaki ([info]vintagebeauty), also from YGO. She's a sucker for friendship speeches and kicking the ass of people who touch her butt and mock her friends. She's usually nice as long as you aren't insulting her friends, but if that is the case, she will not be pleased. She is a ballerina, and she's currently twenty two.

I also have Sylar or Gabriel Gray ([info]ticktocktick) from Heroes. He has all of his memories and powers. He's trying to be a 'good guy', sorta, so he won't die alone. He's just not so good at it, that's all. He has memories, obviously. He won't be using his powers often -- but he does have them. Most of them, anyway.

Next is Jennifer Check ([info]killerbody) from Jennifer's Body. She's a seventeen year old girl that was possessed by a succubus demon before she came to Harmony. Now she's just a bitch. But, she flirts with every male thing that moves.

Also, I have Greg House ([info]thegrumpygreg) from House MD. He's a curmudgeon doctor that has very little nice things to say about people he doesn't know. He has a 'daughter' here in Harmony and is running a diagnostic department. He has memories, too.

Last is Ema Skye ([info]cloudedskyes) from Ace Attorney. She's technically after AJ but she has no memories of it. She's 23, the local weather girl, and very nice. I can't think of a big connection but seeing as Ema is on the television every night, she's a mini-celebrity (she's the weather girl and does small news pieces).

I can't think of many direct connections yet, but if I do, I'll let you know!

CANDICE ACCOLA -- 85 ICONS, 5 BANNERS
Photoshoots, Vampire Diaries, Events

Candice Accola is really, really pretty. She was kind of a settle PB for a character of mine, but when there weren't enough icons of her out there, I made a bunch more. She's a cutie patootie, but in some of the images it looks like her skin isn't the best. She should get some proactive or something! I tried to include some of her more epic expressions. Vampire Diaries caps are kind of dark in general so some of them are pretty dark.

-- Commenting is equally appreciated, but also not necessary. I just like to know people are looking!

Zooey Deschanel Icons

ZOOEY DESCHANEL - 104 ICONS
Photoshoots, 500 Days of Summer, various movies, She & Him

Oh, the lovely Zooey Deschanel. I don't think she's the most goregous creature in the world, but she really works well for (an older) Ema Skye. And, when I found the site weheartit.com (source for all these images) I made a bunch of icons for my RP journal, so I figured I would share! I wish there were some high quality caps of In The Sun and Bank Dance, because she looks totally adorable in those two videos. Oh well, I think this is more than enough for now!

Imogen Poots in Ms. Austen's Regrets

IMOGEN POOTS - 104 icons

This girl is ridiculously lovely, even if her name is a little funny. I use her as a PB for Princess Zelda (you heard me right), and she's so perfect for her, what with her curly hair and her regal appearance. I just love her to death and wish there were more images of her out there.

These are all from Ms. Austen's Regrets, so she's in regency apparel. Her hair is up in 98% of these images, unfortunately, but her hair is adorable and curly so I can forgive her for it. She makes the most epic faces and half the time I didn't use them but there are a few in here.

I didn't do much to these images, aside from cropping them and lightening them. Some got a soft light layer. Not a lot of fuss, because that's how I like my RPG icons. Notice I didn't cut the girl straight across the forehead like lots of icons you'll see lately. That's because that's a horrible trend and it weirds me out. If you want to do anything to the icons (use them as bases) knock yourself out, but it would be great if you could link me to what you do!

Anyway, my source for literally every one of these images is Imogen Poots Fan Gallery.

Oh, right. No credit is strictly needed, but I would love a comment if you're taking any. That's it.
